Stress-Coping Skills: An Ounce of Prevention in Direct Practice

Drawing upon basic concepts, research, and theory in the field of stress, the author identifies universal stress-coping skills that can be used in direct practice. Procedures for helping clients acquire stress-coping skills in the context of a practice relationship are outlined.
